J doesn't mispronounce much, so when she does, I think it's pretty darn cute. Her Aunt Shannon makes delicious Zucchini Bread and has given us quite a bit of it this fall. My mom had a work party the other day and had some left over. Yesterday J was quite excited about this.
J: Oh! Mom! I just love Aunt Shannon's very special tini bread! Can I have a big piece of the tini bread?
We both caught the pun in her mispronunciation of zucchini (tini) and laughed pretty good.

In Grandma's Room
FYI: My mom usually has QVC on in the morning as she's getting ready and running around. For those of you who know my mom, this story is especially humorous.
The girls like to go down and jump on her bed and sometimes snuggle before she's out and about, especially if they haven't seen her after breakfast. Today J went down ahead of E and I and as I came in with E I heard J say:
This is a pretty good show... about pants.
Then E said:
Yeah! Red and green and pink and azul. (although it sounded like "yeay! wred n geen n tik n wazoo")

I Really Need....
A phrase I hear at least a dozen times a day (sometimes hour) from J is:
"But, Mom! I really need (fill in the blank)"to eat, watch Dora, not have quiet time.
Today E has been grabbing my leg and saying:
"uht Mom! I weeely needt......(pause).......sumping."

J Says 11.27.2011
J: What's that circle fing on your face?
Mom: It's a mole.
J: Where'd you get it from?
Mom: I get them from my Daddy: Grandpa Lloyd.
Pause
J: You should give them back.

Contractions
Don't try to tell J that "amn't" ain't a word. It's a losing battle, and I amn't going to go there.
